In Week 2, Year One went to the Australian Arms Museum to enhance their learning in the History Unit.
The students were able to do hands on activities like churn butter, cold press juice, wash with a wash board, write using slate, use a telephone, type on a typewriter, mow the grass with a push mower and play games like quoits and ride scooters.
They also saw artefacts like old clothes, photos, toys, coins and furniture.
The Year One teaching team would like to thank Carmel and her team for sharing their knowledge about the past with the students.
It was a wonderful learning experience.
