On Thursday 24 June Holy Spirit Primary, St Clair farewelled School Support Officer, Jeanette Antao, in a liturgy service after 27 years of service in the school.

The liturgy service led by Holy Spirit Parish Assistant Priest, Fr Peter Tangey OSA, celebrated the achievements and dedication of Jeanette, before wishing her well upon her retirement. 

Jeanette who started at Holy Spirit in 1988 spoke about the changes she had observed in the school.

Jeanette said she observed many changes in her time at Holy Spirit, cherishing the experiences she shared at the school with her fellow staff, children and now grandchildren.

‘I look forward to continuing my involvement in our Catholic community as a parish member and at Holy Spirit Primary as a grandparent,’ Jeanette said. 

Principal Anne Hines said Jeanette was a great credit to Holy Spirit Primary. 

‘She has been a warm and welcoming presence here for students, parents and staff for the past 27 years,’ Anne said. ‘Jeanette’s skills and attention to detail have contributed to the success of the school, and moreover, she has brought a faith-filled presence to the role and community.’ 

‘She will be greatly missed,’ she said.
